Edwin Thomas
Edwin Thomas is a disabled actor, writer, producer, and founder of ORCA LAB.
He is best known for his role in The Happy Prince (2018), which premiered at Sundance and Berlinale, earning him a Screen International Star of Tomorrow nomination.
After a decade of undiagnosed chronic pain in his 20s, Edwin was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Defying medical expectations, he rehabilitated through over 10,000 hours of work with the Feldenkrais Method, in which he is now a certified practitioner.
In education, Edwin has worked as a secondary school teacher and co-founded the access scheme at Guildhall School of Music & Drama a programme that collaborated with Wadham College, Oxford University, where he studied as an undergraduate.
He speaks English, French, and Brazilian Portuguese, and has lived in both Lyon and Rio de Janeiro.
Edwin is represented by Curtis Brown as an actor, writer, and director.
